The Seminary of Urban Leadership, home of TUMI Topeka and the Center for Urban Chaplaincy, offer affordable seminary and leadership development to every called-out leader who desires to attend. We do this through our Capstone seminary program which is part of the network of World Impact’s The Urban Ministry Institute (TUMI) and additional partnership courses and locally-developed initiatives. Our goal is to assist pastors and leaders in your desire to grow and serve among those who live in some of the hardest fields: our high-poverty neighborhoods, jail, prison and among those impacted by homelessness.

Capstone Seminary
Capstone Seminary is our 16-Module leadership development program utilizing World Impact’s TUMI curriculum, Capstone. Our seminary program is offered in a cohort model. Each co-hort takes one year and consists of four classes beginning the third Saturday of January, concluding before Thanksgiving, and resulting in a Milestone Certificate in the concentration of study for that year. Four Milestone Certificates culminate in being graduated from Capstone Seminary with a Certificate in Biblical Leadership Studies. You will have completed some of the finest seminary courses offered anywhere for urban leaders.
After one year of Capstone, you will be ready to move on and to add Chaplaincy if you desire! Also ask us about our collaboration with City Vision University to help students turn their studies into accredited hours toward traditional certificates and degrees. Fight the Good Fight of Faith: Playing Your Part in God’s Unfolding Drama is our 10 week Discipleship class. This may be used as a pre-requisite to Capstone seminary. To be part of one of our classes, use the “contact us” form.
